The Tao of Everything

As products of the Fourth Age, we were domesticated into believing in absolutes. This is better than that. A new car is better than an old car. Fridays are better than Mondays. But these are not absolutes, they are majority opinions of a less than aware culture. World5 sees things differently.
Central to the World5 paradigm is the idea of the interaction of opposites. Development and conservation are seemingly at odds, and yet conscious development is likely conservative. Day and night, inside and outside, yin and yang, and most everything in our lives, can be interpreted as the interaction of opposites. How often do we note 'now on the other side of the coin' which is exactly this recognition.
The depth and breadth of Tao is unending. It serves to make comprehensible seeming opposites in all sorts of ways, which we'll briefly discuss here. But let's start with the big one, the Tao of Everything.
From what science has found, this material universe began some 13 billion years ago with the Big Bang. [Somebody's always making something out of nothing.] Now, this creates something of a conundrum. What existed before the Big Bang. If the answer is nothing, how could the anything at all happen. If the answer is something, what exactly might that be.
When we consider what might be outside of time and space and energy [none of these existed until the Big Bang], we get to some idea that the word God describes. Eternal Father is a Catholic term. So the chief characteristics of whatever created the Big Bang would seem to be that of an eternal essence, and that of Awareness. For without Awareness there could be no Big Bang either [no physics, no pressures, no movement, no time]. There was just Eternal Awareness.
Then suddenly boom. Now we have time and space and most importantly, energy, in its various forms. Now we have movement, where before there was none. This energy is quite literally the child of Eternal Awareness, and if our world mirrors the Divine, like must beget like. Energy must share some essential nature with Eternal Awareness. As Energy cannot be the stillness of Eternity, perhaps it shares the Awareness of Eternity as the Light of Energy, a form of awareness suitable to a universe of movement.
Stillness and movement. Polar opposites. Two sides of the coin. And the Great Tao of Everything. Life, emerging through time, taking ever more complex forms, is ever this mix of Eternal Awareness and the swirls of energy patterns, ever temporary. Said another way, we are evolutionary creatures with a divine core, or at least some spark that can be awakened. So maybe we need to get over all this absolutism, unless we're talking about what exists outside of time.
